PREVAILING WAGE RATES

For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor’s website at: www.state.il.us/agency/idol/rates/rates.HTM. All Contractors and Subcontractors rendering services under a Contract for the construction of a public work must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties.

As a condition of making payment to the Contractor, the Village may require the Contractor to submit an affidavit to the effect that not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate is being paid
to laborers, mechanics and other workmen employed on this Contract in accordance with Illinois or federal law, as applicable.

PERFORMANCE BOND
The successful BIDDER for the construction of the improvements will be required to enter into Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds equal to 100% of the amount of the bid with sureties to be approved by the Mayor and City Council, when entering into the contract for the work, which shall be conditioned upon the proper and faithful performance by the CONTRACTOR of the work specified in accordance with the contract documents therefore, and the ordinances providing for the work.
