Important Notice!!!

Cook County Health in partnership with the state will be re-opening the Forest Park Vaccination site on Tuesday, January, 18th. The vaccine site will be located in the former Hobo building located at 7630 W. Roosevelt Rd.

Hours of operation: Tuesday through Saturday 8 am to 6 pm and Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm

Booster shots have been approved for all people age 12+. Due to high demand for COVID vaccines, individuals with appointments at CCH sites will be taken first. Walk-ins will be seen as resources allow. Make an appointment visit Community Vaccination Program (cookcountyil.gov) or call 833-308-1988. Please note: the Vaccine Sign-Up Hotline will be open 8am-12pm on 1/17/21 in observance of MLK Day.

If you are homebound or need a ride, visit Partner Vaccination and Testing Sites – Cook County Department of Public Health (cookcountypublichealth.org) for information on how to get vaccinated.

Participating Walgreens and CVS Pharmacies are also taking appointments for vaccine shots for those over the age of 5 years old.

As of July 2021, Cook County has closed the Forest Park vaccination location on Roosevelt Rd.

COVID-19 Testing

There are two kinds of COVID-19 tests.

  • Diagnostic test which detect virus and tell you if you have a current infection
  • Antibody test which might tell you if you had a past infection

There are two types of diagnostic tests: molecular tests, such as RT-PCR tests, that detect the virus’s genetic material, and antigen tests that detect specific proteins on the surface of the virus.
