Welcome to the 2025 Water Meter Replacement Project page. Here, you’ll find the latest updates and helpful resources about the Village of Forest Park’s effort to upgrade water meters in all residential, industrial, and commercial buildings. Many existing meters have surpassed their 20-year lifespan and are less accurate due to aging mechanical parts. The new meters feature advanced technology with no moving components, allowing for more precise readings and automated data collection. This project is being managed in partnership with Veregy LLC, and licensed Illinois plumbers will be conducting meter replacements from June through December 2025. Before work begins in your area, you will receive a mailed postcard from Veregy with instructions to schedule your appointment. Installations will only occur by appointment, and all personnel will carry proper identification, wear uniforms, and drive marked vehicles. The replacement process typically takes about 30 minutes.
