The Village of Forest Park is an Illinois Main Street Community whose Main Street Redevelopment Association swept the award ceremony at a State Conference in 2001 winning a record 9 awards for excellence in Downtown revitalization!

In 2008 Main Street merged with the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce whose members are comprised of local business owners/operators and volunteers who work diligently toward keeping the community vital, appealing to merchants and customers alike. They host a number of events throughout the year which include a Summerfest, the Progressive Dinner, Forest Park Arts Fest, and more.
