Forest Park has a very rich and old history dating back to the first settlers in 1856 when its boundries included parts of River Forest and Oak Park. However, it wasn't until 1907 that Forest Park was offiically incorporated. Over the past hundred and fifty years, many interesting events and influential people have come and gone. Most historical data has been catalogued and can be found through the Historical Society of Forest Park.
