The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners are tasked with the responsibility to oversee the hiring, promoting, and dismissing of the civil servants within the Village of Forest Park. Although the Village Council appoints members of the Board they are considered an independent body. The Board conducts their regular public meeting the 3rd Thursday of every month at 5:00 pm in the lower level of the Village Hall. Eligibility postings for all positions within the Police and Fire Departments are available for public viewing at the Forest Park Village Hall, 517 Desplaines Avenue.
