Michael J. Sturino
was appointed in February 2005 as Forest Park's third Village
Administrator. Mr. Sturino has a wealth of experience as an
attorney and as a public administrator. As an attorney, Michael
Sturino represented public sector clients throughout Chicago
metropolitan region. He also represented a variety of private
sector entities in government related matters.
His diverse public
and private sector background has given Mr. Sturino extensive
hands-on experience and expertise from the staff level in
planning, zoning, economic development, finance, housing rehabilitation,
public relations, employment practices, grants administration,
transportation, health and liability insurance, and ordinance
drafting. He has widely recognized skills in general municipal
and local government law, especially in the area of land use
and zoning law.
Michael Sturino
is also accredited through the American Institute of Certified
Planners, the highest level of certification available to
urban planning professionals.
Mr. Sturino is
admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois, as well
as before the United States District Court for the Northern
District of Illinois and the United District Court for the
Central District of Illinois.
Michael J. Sturino
is the immediate past-President of the Board of Directors
for West Suburban Senior Services (formerly Proviso Council
on Aging). Mr. Sturino has served on such boards as the O'Hare
Noise Compatibility Commission, the Northwest Transit Corridor
Municipal Task Force, South Loop Neighbors community organization,
and the West Central Municipal Conference Executive Committee.
Michael Sturino is a member of the American Planning Association,
the Illinois State Bar Association, and the International
City County Managers Association, which recently presented
him with a service award.
