Youth Mentoring

YOUTH MENTORING is coming to Forest Park this Spring! Youth from the Forest Park area are invited to participate in a FREE Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring Program. The mentoring program will take place every other Wednesday from 6-7:30pm at the Howard Mohr Community Center, 7640 Jackson Blvd in Forest Park.  Youth in grades 5-7 will be matched with a caring, professionally screened mentor of the same gender. Activities will be pre-planned by an experienced facilitator and will take place in a group setting with 20 matched pairs of mentors and youth.  Each 90 minute session will include time for  homework, relationship building, group activity and free time, all based around themes like educational achievement, avoiding risky  behavior and building confidence and appropriate social skills. Students and Mentors are asked to commit to the program for a minimum of 1 year. For more information about enrolling your child, contact Michelle Faherty at 312-207-4227 or Faherty@bbbschgo.org.  Only 20 spaces available so contact us today.

BE A MENTOR. START SOMETHING. What if every child reached their full potential? Think how amazing that would be!

Mentors must be 18 years of age and willing to commit to the program for a minimum of 1 year. Ready to make a difference in the life of a child or interested in learning more about volunteering? Contact Michelle Faherty at 312-207-4227 or Faherty@bbbschgo.org.
