The following will provide interested parties with the design and information regarding the Forest Park/River Forest Madison Street rehab project commencing west of Desplaines Avenue: Plan Exhibit - Perspective - Light Poles - Public Meetings - Parking Info - Parking Map
This past week Alliance Construction has finished all the pavement removal and Humir Construction has installed the mainline watermain, and will be pressure testing the watermain today. Once the pressure testing and is complete, the watermain will be disinfected and the installation of the water services will begin. Forest Park businesses west of Jackson Blvd will be getting new services during stage 1 construction; the remaining new services east of Jackson Blvd will be installed in Stage 2. Notices will be sent out at least 48 hours prior to the installation of the new service; no business will be without water for more than 2 hours. After all the services in stage 1 are installed the center pavement will be installed.
The next progress meeting will be held tomorrow, Thursday, June 25th, at Jackson and Madison. As always, please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have, so that they can be addressed right away.
In the last week, Alliance has made progress on the pavement removal as well as the removal of trolley tracks down the center line. In addition, three valve vaults were installed and three watermain connections were made. Today, watermain work began. For the time being no one will be affected by the installation of the watermain. River Forest businesses are not affected by the watermain installation. Forest Park businesses will get more information as watermain work progresses.
